Pippin & Trot is a cider brand rooted in the landscape and folklore of Dartmoor. The brief was to create a brand identity that felt both grounded in tradition and visually bold, appealing to a contemporary audience while retaining a sense of place.
Approach
At the heart of the identity is a hand-drawn illustration of Pippin (an apple) riding Trot (a Dartmoor pony). This became a focal point across print and digital. Brushstroke textures and crown-top apple motifs referenced the handcrafted nature of the product, while a balanced typographic system brought together playful and traditional elements.
Outcome
The final identity is distinctive, adaptable and characterful. From packaging to signage, it creates a cohesive visual experience. Pippin & Trot presents cider not just as a drink, but as a story of community, land and local heritage.
